Hydra (Greece) Villa retreat
Villa Retreat - Hydra
Retreat Dates: 29th September 2026 to 2nd October 2026
Availability: - SOLD OUT
The island is separated from the Peloponnese by a narrow water channel. The term Hydrea derives from the Greek word for "water," reflecting the island's many natural springs. Tourism is the cornerstone of Hydra's economy, primarily attracting visitors from Athens. High-speed hydrofoils and catamarans operate from Piraeus, approximately 37 nautical miles (69 kilometres) away, with routes including stops at Poros and Spetses. There is also a passenger ferry for transportation between Hydra Harbour and Metochi on the Peloponnese coast.
Many guests choose to drive to Metochi, where secure parking is available, before making the short 20-minute ferry journey to Hydra. It is important to note that local regulations permit only rubbish trucks to operate as motor vehicles on the island, which helps maintain its tranquil environment.
Public transport options include horses, mules, donkeys, and water taxis; however, due to the compact nature of the island, most visitors prefer to explore by foot. Our retreat offers two options: 1. An all-inclusive package at the villa, which includes accommodation, meals, and the full retreat programme, priced at £600.00 - £700.00 per person for single occupancy.
The villa accommodates four guests, with an additional private en-suite available in an adjoining outhouse.
Comprehensive details and itineraries will be provided.
Enrollment in the wellness programme and meals only, requiring guests to secure their own accommodation. Please note that flights are excluded from this package.
The island is approximately 1.5 hours by ferry from Athens (Piraeus). Which you can take a direct metro from athens interntational (Line M3)
